💡Think
If something is worth doing, do it now.
Something I’ve tried to work pretty hard on the past few years is to prevent myself from saying “I’ll get to that later”.
What I’ve found is that this attitude of putting things off, well…puts them off. I’ve had emails unread for over 12 months, because I’ll get there “one day”. You and I know I never did.
If you definitely can’t get around to that brain wave right now, the next best thing to do is to put it in your reminders with a due date. This is important because without the accountability, you will be back to square one of never actually finishing it.

❶ How hard should I push myself?
This is something I reflect on a lot, and probably a bit more now that I work from my bedroom. How much stress is healthy enough to push us in the right direction? It turns out – through cold, hard science – that we do actually need some stress for peak performance…but not too much. Fascinating article.

❷ Creating your own luck
Alright, alright, admittedly that title is a little blue-sky. However, this long read isn’t a joke and shares some great insights on serendipity and how “seeing bridges where others see gaps” is crucial in ensuring you get what you want. The author lays out a theory of serendipity, with charts and everything. Go get ‘em, folks.

❸ Sustainability is the new digital
I was involved in kickstarting a de/carbon initiative at work this week, so this article came just in time. If companies don’t be intentional about how they are consciously reducing their carbon output, they will be disrupted out of business. That may sound dramatic, but the numbers back it up.

My podcast is back, and we dropped two episodes this weekend
A cute animation series from Mailchimp about what it’s like to work as an entreprenuer
I wrote an article last week about how to host your own website for free. Not my normal type of content, but useful nonetheless

What is true digital inclusion?
In the UK, there are more than a million children without access to a laptop for home schooling right now. How does this affect access to knowledge, who should be in control of this, and what can we do to help?
Inclusion isn’t just about giving people access to knowledge, it comes right down to political policies and business goals to ensure we can all thrive.
