đĄThink
Hey everyone,
I was on a week-long trip to Miami this week as part of a sales and marketing âkick offâ event.
Travelling for work sure is fun, but at the same time completely exhausting. Itâs not easy to predict how your body reacts to intense social activity mixed with jet lag, but apparently Iâm not very good at it đ
What I do know though, is that you seriously cannot replace unplanned/non-agendaâd time with your team. Off the cuff conversations that would honestly take two days if done asynchronously can speed up not only relationships, but gettingâŠitâŠdone.
I mentioned this a little while back, but the remote side of modern work really can be a hindrance at time when working in a global way.
Until the next trip, I guess!

ⶠTechnology has an interface problem
Did you know that Amazon released a wristband that listened to you and reported back what your tone of voice was? My electricity company currently offers a monthly game where you can win a discount. Consumer technology interfaces are forcing us to be technology, live inside of it, tell it everything weâre doing, and ultimately sell it all back to us. Super.
â· Eating the elephant, one bite at a time
Should Spotify show you the result you searched for, or their own curated playlist? Should Amazon surface the brand from your search, or their own version of this product? Should Google display reviews from TripAdvisor, or their own travel product? All brilliant questions, and the answer can be discussed in âthe end to end (E2E) problemâ. Brilliant article, but I rewrote the title because they use this metaphor exquisitely.
âž Quit: A framework for giving up
Woah, why so negative? I promise this article is worth a read, itâs not telling you to ditch everything in your life, but introduces some really solid points to consider any time youâre thinking about whether something is âworth itâ. There are also some great tips on how to prioritise the right things. For example, writing your damn newsletter before deciding on what the logo should be!

(Over)working 9-5
Hey, this is my new podcast! This was launched back in December, and there are 3 episodes up, with this one focussing specifically on being a workaholic and our thoughts on working too much. Itâs a partnership with a good friend Au, and we had a lot of fun recording.
